Job Title: Programmer Analyst
Location: Boston

Self-starting developer/analyst needed to deliver enterprise solutions for BBH Infomediary core engineering team. Responsibilities will include development in the following areas: enterprise messaging engine, web services, data mapping component development, testing: unit, integration, regression, environment management, and support for both testing and production efforts.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:
  • 6+ years of development experience in enterprise environment with Java.
  • Strong understanding of JEE Design Patterns theory and application
  • Strong Backend experience is preferred with some level of experience on the UI Technologies is a plus
  • Strong Messaging experience is required
  • Core Experience & strengths with the following programming languages/techniques:
    • Java/JEE/JVM
    • JUnit, TDD, UML, and Object Oriented Principles
    • Java Core Fundamentals and Key Tools (log4j, Mockito, Maven)
    • Java Core (I/O)
    • Java Core (Multithreading)
    • Spring Framework (AOP and Web MVC)
    • Java Web Applications on Tomcat (Servlets and JSP)
    • Web Services: Familiarity with SOAP, WSDL, RESTful services, etc…
    • XML (XSLT a plus)
    • Open Messaging framework like Camel is a plus
    • Web Development (HTML, CSS, JSON, XML)
  • Experience & strengths with the following technologies/development tools:
    • WebSphere, RAD, Eclipse, Subversion (SVN), Maven, Apache
      • Configuration
      • Automation of maintenance tasks
      • Tuning
    • IBM DB2 preferred or Oracle/other relational DB
      • Strong SQL
      • Stored procedures
      • Optimization techniques
      • No SQL (Mongo, Hadoop) experience is a plus
    • Unix preferred, other Unix/Linux
      • Shell Scripting is a Plus
      • Cron Scheduling
      • Process Monitoring/Management
    • IBM MQ Series, JMS
