¨ An experienced Systems/Business Analyst, for up to 6 - 12 month contract position.
¨ This is an excellent contract opportunity for a results-oriented, highly detailed individual, with frequently changing priorities and projects. This position requires working knowledge of database infrastructure and querying, including SQL, Oracle and other systems.
¨ Have proficient knowledge and experience with ICD9 and ICD10 codes, data quality control/ assurance testing, and large datasets.
¨ Primary responsibilities will include systems and business analysis, as well as gap analysis and data quality control and assurance.
¨ This individual will also be responsible for thorough and complete documentation of these systems. In addition, this person must be able to work with the assigned developer, data custodians, as well as some interaction with the business stakeholders if necessary.
¨ Individual will be involved in the entire life cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design/architecture, specifications, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
¨ This individual will be responsible for interfacing with data users, to ensure application meets business needs.
¨ This position reports to the IT Program Manager and direct interface with the Business, Technical Project Manager, the Architecture Team, Release Management, data custodians, data users, vendors and data base partners.
¨ The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain an in-depth understanding of legacy systems, business requirements, strategy, processes, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key in understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges.
¨ Works with the Technical Project Manager to coordinate efforts between internal management, external consultants, data users, and possibly software vendors.
¨ Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
¨ Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
¨ Serves as subject matter expert for database related analysis.
¨ Develops, tests, and implements new solutions, implementing best practices where applicable.
¨ Designs new solutions and handles all aspects of the interface architecture process. Incorporate input of data users and data custodians.
¨ Works under the direction of the Technical Team lead to ensure results are achieved and deadlines are met.
¨ Resolves problems and provides daily troubleshooting, analysis, and problem definition for production issues.
¨ Will work in conjunction with the QA team and various development teams, to validate and test all new developments and/or enhancements.
¨ Documents and maintains change control records for all system changes.
¨ Ensure adherence and compliance to federal, state, and department regulations, policies, guidelines and objectives.
Skills & Experience
¨ The ability to create and write complex SQL programs.
¨ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
¨ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
¨ In depth experience with SQL database servers and system redesign.
¨ Should have a minimum of 7 years' experience; and have at least one proven database migration project.
¨ Should have in-depth knowledge of ICD9 to ICD10 code mappings.
¨ Experience with Case Mix is preferred. In addition, experience with big data and large administrative/ clinical datasets.
¨ Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
¨ A working proficiency with the following tools:
